A friendly morning of business networking, with a bit of padel and pickleball along the way. That covers the courts, the coaching, the equipment and the coffee.   ## A networking morning, just a friendlier way of doing it It is a business networking event, with a court instead of a conference room. Small groups play at a time, everyone rotates, and the people waiting chat while they watch/catch their breath. No experience needed You do not need to have played before or be especially sporty. A coach is there to show you the basics. Everyone gets a go Whatever your starting point, you get time on court as people rotate on and off. Nobody is keeping score It is good fun from the first rally. Easier than a lanyard Having something to do together makes it much easier to strike up a conversation, and a lot more enjoyable than standing about. **Come for the game, stay for the chat.**   ## From our first morning A few photos from the September session at Xcite Bathgate. If you have been meaning to meet more people locally but never quite fancied a breakfast meeting, this is a much easier place to start. What to bring/wear Trainers and something comfy to move in, and that is really it. Rackets, paddles and balls are all provided. There are changing rooms and showers if you would like to freshen up before the rest of your day.   ## The morning 1 08:45 Arrive, tea & coffee and networking 2 09:00 Welcome, and how the rotations work 3 09:15 Play begins, rotating every twenty minutes 4 10:50 Wrap up and final words from your host 5 11:00 Finish ## What it costs That covers the courts, the coaching, the equipment and the coffee. £15 Standard £10 West Lothian Chamber members   ## Questions I have never played padel or pickleball. Is that a problem? Not at all, and most people coming along will be in exactly the same boat. It is a networking morning first and foremost, and a coach will get everyone started. Think friendly introduction rather than lesson. How fit do I need to be? Not very at all. Both sports are played on small courts, so there is not much ground to cover, and you can take it at your own pace. The chatting is the main event. Do I need to bring a racquet? If you do have a racket, please bring it along but it will also be provided if you don't have one. Will I actually get to play? Yes, everyone gets time on court as people rotate on and off. The time in between is just as good though, because that is when most of the chatting happens. Is this a Chamber event? It is organised by Opsessed and supported by West Lothian Chamber of Commerce. Everyone is welcome, member or not, and members simply get a discount. Is there parking?
